My name is Manuel Maqueda. I am an international teacher, speaker and innovator with a focus on regenerative economics.
I teach Applied Circular Economics and Regenerative Economics at Harvard’s Sustainability Graduate Programs -Harvard Division of Continuing Education. I also created UC Berkeley’s Circular Economy Online Course and UCLA’s Online Circular Economy Program.
I have a strong background as an impact entrepreneur, innovator, and serial NGO founder. I am involved in a variety of organizations and projects to innovate our transition to a just, wise, thriving, and regenerative culture.
I consult for forward-thinking organizations, including being a Strategy Advisor to Jeff-Bezos-funded Long Now Foundation, dedicated to fostering long-term thinking in the context of the next 10,000 years.
I am also the author of the forthcoming book The Meaning Economy, about how meaning is transforming the economy, and our future.
I am married to transformational dance-activist Raquel Santiago, who founded the Alchemy Spinning supermindfulness practice. We share our lives with our identical twin toddler sons.
